Welby 8 Day Traditional Style Cuckoo Clock, hand crafted with all white hour and minute hand. It has the pinecone weights and maple leaf carvings at the top of the clock itself. Antique Operollo "The perfect tone for every home made by Operollo Phonograph Company in Detroit. It features the crank, the turnstile, the lovely cabinet and the slow to fast switch. The top is intact as is the beautiful carving on the front. There is please note there is a slight piece of veneer that is missing. The cabinet features two drawers in front that opened to reveal three shelves perfect for holding records. It is mounted on casters. The parts are shown in pictures. The third is an Edsel race car number 748 with an Army sticker on the back of trunk and decals on the hood. It was made by AMT Corporation in Birmingham, Michigan. It is framed in a lovely Larson-Juhl wooden frame. The artist is Silvia Tejada she was born in Peru in 1958. She studied conservation and restoration. Later she married a well known Impressionist painter. She evolved into one of the best floral painters in South America. This beautiful painting culminated a long struggle to make her dreams come true. Fortunately her husband convinced her to persist. Born on July 5,1889 in Maisons-Laffitte, France, the self-taught Cocteau would regularly draw his friends and acquaintances in a distinctive, fluid style informed by his interests in Cubism, psychoanalysis, and Catholicism. He was also a poet. “Poets don't draw,” he once quipped about his artworks. “They unravel their handwriting and then tie it up again, but differently.” Cocteau died on October 11, 1963 at the age of 74 in Milly-la-Foret, France. Today, his works are included in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, among others.
