Beautiful Shanghai Silk Carpet that is fringed at the top and bottom it features a four cranes in the center and sets of cranes along the outer frame. It was made in China and measures 27 inches wide by 55 inches long. A ruler has been placed on the back so you can see the fine hand knotting. Cranes stand for good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years. The Chinese rever the heavenly cranes believing they were symbols of wisdom.
