Three beautiful colored atmospheric photographs that are pencil signed. The artist was Wallace Nutting. The first one is Dressed as a Bride which measures 17" x 14", Afterglow which measures 10 1/2" x 14", and Over the Wall which measures 17" x 13". Mr. Nutting (1861-1941) was a U.S. minister, photographer, artist, and antiquarian, who is most famous for his landscape photos of New England. He also was an accomplished author, lecturer, furniture maker, antiques expert and collector. His atmospheric photographs helped spur the Colonial Revival style. In 1912, he published a catalog of prints that was 97 pages and included about 900 images. By 1915, Nutting claimed to be earning $1,000 per day. His photographs ranged in subject and price to suit a variety of tastes. His catalog included pastoral scenes such as views of abbeys, cathedrals, bridges, mountains, flowers, and winding roads. In the peak of his business, he employed about two hundred colorists. By his own account, Wallace Nutting sold ten million pictures. Wallace Nutting's colorists painted the photographs which he took. These colorists would sometimes sign Wallace Nutting's name on the photos which is why the signatures vary.

İstanbul Mehmet Darbuka. It says handmade cymbals from Turkey on the top. It is a 12 inches high. Darbukas are made in the tradition of the original, esoteric goblet shaped drums found in music from Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Southern Asia. Meinl Darbukas are constructed from thin shells in various metals, each metal giving the different models their special timbre. The head is secured and tuned with external rings set close to the shell, in the Turkish style. Light yet powerful, the darbukas have a deep full bass. They are well suited for high pitched snapping sounds as well as a wide range of articulated "doum" and "tak" strokes. Istanbul Mehmet cymbals from Turkey are highly praised for their sound.
