Very expensive Silverplate and Holloware Epergne. This centerpiece was popular even back to the colonial times. Fruits, nuts and sweets were placed in the crystal dishes or they could be used as places for flower arrangements. The crystal dishes of the Epergne are removable so candlesticks could also be used in place of the dishes. It is marked Reed and Barton 166. There are two additional crystal footed dishes which are 24% genuine letters crystal, they were made in West Germany. The Epergne measures 15 inches tall by 18 inches wide. The two crystal pieces measures 5 3/4 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter. This is a treasure.
